So I just purchased an in-line salt system. The system requires 16" of plumbing on the return line to install properly. I have an older pool around 20+ years and was built by the previous home owners.
so my question is that there is a metal fixture inline currently that I can't figure out what it is / or if I need to keep it. If I don't need it I would be able to install the salt system easily within the 16".
does anyone know what it is and if I can remove it?
