Hi all, I am looking for some advice/support:
I did some synchronized swimming as a child, and after almost 20 years of break (37 now), I've decided to try swimming (as a way to stay fit and to have fun workouts). So, I went to a local swimming club and was accepted to Masters group. They train 6 times per week (approx 3 km per session).
My goal is to go 2 times per week, but I must say it's a bit tiresome for me (i went twice so far).
My question is: will it get better? Now I can't go to bed the night after training till late, and sleep worse than usual. Even I don't have any muscle pain, I feel slightly tired the day after (I am also a parent and have lots of responsibilities outside the swimming pool).
How much time does it take for my body to adapt? Or it's just age and lack of sleep and it will be always like that? TIA
