I am a 16 yr old f on a club team with a bunch of 13-14 yr olds. I know that isnt TOO much of an age gap but I feel like I am not swimming to my potential. These kids are all super fast, and I struggle with completing my sets. Not because it is crazy hard, but because I feel like they always finish so much sooner. I end up stopping mid set to “catch up” and essentially skip a 50 or so. During high school szn, I feel so in shape and I love working hard at practice. But club szn over summer is really tough rn. I want to push and I truly do want to get better. But when I try to push, I just end up swimming lazily again. Please help me get a better mindset. I want to feel good at practice again.
