I’m three months into swimming, for the past month I’ve been swimming a minimum of 1 mile and up to 2500 yards at a time without breaks. I hit a mile between 35-39 mins. I keep it at a fairly comfortable pace. Should I be mixing in shorter faster swims? Or is it still beneficial to keep doing what I’m doing and slowly increasing distance? I’m in the pool 3-5 days a week as schedule allows.
