Advice/Help for a new-ish Blind Swimmer

Hi Everyone
I have been getting back into swimming the past few weeks (I swum in primary school but never got past stopping to breathe). However, I am now blind and struggling with how to learn better technique as i can't just watch a video, and i don't have money for lessons.

I have heard to just let your body roll onto its side and back again to breathe, but i find that i go too far and roll completely over, with my head going under in the process (thus swallowing a heap of water). I also have some residual anxiety as a kid that I never really got past. I also can't swim on my back at all. I'm still using a kickboard on my front at the moment and doing one stroke, hold the board, other side stroke, etc. I can't do the other type of stroke with both arms at once because i basically belly flop.

If anyone has any advice or tips that would be great, or is it just a case of practice and confidence at this stage to make progress?

Thanks :)
