Hello folks. I’m getting up at the crack of dawn to swim at the pool in my gym for the first time and I’m super excited and nervous. I learned to swim from my dad as a little kid and love it my family used to call me a fish out of water. I’ve been a member of my gym since last July but have been too nervous to swim. I’m less refined at swimming and when I glance at the pool everyone looks so professional in there. I have lost 30lbs since joining the gym, I’m currently at a plateau. I figure swimming will help me relax while getting me towards my weight loss goals. I can be a bit of an over thinker and let little things get in my way. I spend too much time wondering about things like where will I leave my flip flops and towel and other silly things. Any advice for a newbie? Just wanted to thank this sub in advance, scrolling through it has given so much confidence.
